Winter Wonderland

I caught this lone cross-country skier on a frozen creek in snow country.  Let this be my Christmas card to all:

May your Christmas be as serene and exhilarating as this magical moment.

And, thanks to a reader’s suggestion, may the following carol warm the winter chills and quiet the holiday frenzy.

‘In The Bleak Midwinter’

A Merry Christmas To All!

  5. Arti, thanks so much for your visit to my blog yesterday. I’m an infrequent blogger of late, but hope you come back to visit again when I have something more interesting to say.
I am very intrigued by your place – not just because we seem to be neighbours (I’m in Calgary atm) – and will definitely be coming back here. The X-country photo is in the Kananaskis?
    .
    Deborah,

We could be neighbours! The photo was an impromptu snap while I was walking in Fish Creek Park. I like to call it my neck of the woods. Are you anywhere close by?

    1. Arti, I only just saw your reply now. I drove past Fish Creek Park today, in fact, but live in Montgomery. I’m only here for a few days longer before I head back to my home-away, in France. Perhaps we could think about meeting up sometimes – I’m back here in a few months.

      .
      Deborah,

Oh yes definitely, we should meet up. Just drop me a line when you’re back. You should have my email since I’ve commented on your blog. Have a great time in France… how I envy you! I came back a few months ago from visiting Paris and Provence. Have written a few posts on my travel there… you might like to take a look. This is exciting indeed!

    Ruth,

Just straight from the heart… nothing poetic. I know where to look for stunning photography and poetry… synchronizing. 😉 Have a blessed Christmas to you and yours!

    Linda,

You know, I’ve been thinking about this carol these past few days and then read your comment on my last post. I just thought I should share it here. I love the lyrics, they are so poetic… Thank you for all the inspiration whenever you stop by to write your response. I look forward to more exchanges in the coming year as we make our mutual visits. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  9. Lovely photo Arti … I hope your Christmas is lovely and just how you like it. Ours has been a pretty perfect Aussie day, warm, with just a little breeze to make it comfortable. And now it is a lovely evening.

Trust you’re enjoying your Christmas and all best wishes for a Happy New Year!
And BTW, it’s a she… I saw her coming. By the time I took my camera out and positioned myself to take a picture, she had already passed me.
