I’ve read all four trnaslations : got 30 pages into Scott Moncrieff (prissy, hopeless) and all of Kilmartin (quite good) and Kilmartin/Enright 9by far the best especially in hardback), and Book 1, so far, of the latest (rather too sharp/zappy for me, loses the sense of period, and different translators for each book does not help, I fear).
Keith (England). Enright by far the best!

I’m reading the Modern Library edition: Moncrieff/Kilmartin/Enright. Curious to see how Lydia Davis brings in the contemporary take.
