Evening. Outside the home of the Starlings.

Home of the Starlings

Junior doesn’t look very happy. I’m hungryyyy!

Junior not happy

Now where is she? What’s taking her so long?

What's taking her so long?

Here you are… fresh worms:

Here you are, fresh worms

Now eat up, chomp, chomp, chomp:

Eat up

What? You want more?! This is my third trip already.

What? More?

After some time, Mom Starling finally comes back with more.

Ok, here you are, fresh worms! Now where did the monkey go?

Ok here you are, more worms

You want me to bring it to your room?!

Now where did he go?

Get off the computer!

Get off the computer!

    1. Jeanie,

My story came after I saw the photos clearly on my laptop. From afar, i just knew mom Starling was feeding her young, but never expected to see the actual worms.

    1. Claire,

Thanks! I didn’t have the story in mind when I took the pics. Only after loading them up on my laptop did I found it. Yes, families are quite alike. 😉

  1. I love these pictures – so expressive. Birds don’t use our language but we certainly can understand their meanings by the way they look – you certainly did.

  2. Great photos. I used to see starlings around here a lot, I’d get small flocks of them in my backyard but you remind me I haven’t see them for ages and that makes me sad. I wonder what has happened to them?
