    1. My camera playing trip on me… focusing on the tree trunk rather than the Nuthatch. But I didn’t have time to adjust, a quick shot before it flew away. Thanks for stopping by the Pond all these years and may your Christmas be blessed and 2021 a much happier year!

  1. Merry Christmas to you too, Arti. Thanks for a year of wonderful photos, stories, reflections and “ripples.” You have been a bright spot —and in many ways a lifeline—in a strange, dark and dangerous year. I am so grateful!

I’m glad the ripples have some effects… May your Christmas be a specially blessed time amidst this most tumultuous year, and may 2021 bring some positive changes! Take care and stay safe! 🙂

The photo is lovely of the nuthatch … and the earth is working her spin slowly but surely back towards the light!

  3. Arti, A beautiful post, a lovely shot!
Wishing you peace, hope and love this Christmas season, and better days, new possibilities, especially family/friends gatherings and continued good health in the coming year.

  4. One of my favorite twice daily activities is to replenish my bird feeders and watch our feathered friends eat their favorite seeds. This image is so lovely. My nuthatches climb down the stone wall of our house to pick their favorite seeds from my window ledge. Happy Holidays to you, Arti.

    1. I don’t have a feeder so I go out to meet my avian friends. Nuthatches are quite common in my neck of the woods. However, winter is a time where birds are few, except the hardy chickadees, and mallards. Thanks for stopping by, Vic, and all best wishes to you for the New Year!
