This Luci Shaw poem was read out in the Tenebrae service I attended on Good Friday.
because we are all
silver and eating
body and blood and asking
(guilty) is it I and hearing
him say yes
it would be simple for us all
to rush out and hang ourselves
but if we find grace
to cry and wait
after the voice of morning
has crowed in our ears
to break our hearts
he will be there
to ask us each again
do you love me

Thanks for the Twitter mention, Alison.
Happy Easter, Arti! And blessings to you and all whom you love!
I’m so behind in my reading and commenting, but now my own Easter posting is up and I have a few free hours before me, so I’ll be able to visit and leave some coherent comments.
I hope your day is wonderful – and that you have at least some signs of Spring by now.
Yes, the weather has been quite warm, about 10C. But as before, spring takes a long time to incubate. I’ll be starting a Spring Birdwatching Course this week. Looking forward to it. Have a good one yourself!
Happy Easter! That was really lovely.
Thanks for stopping by on Easter Sunday. And… have enjoyed your Easter movies post.
Happy Easter Arti!
Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your spring, Ellen!
